Privacy Policy
Last updated 7 October 2026. This policy describes what decibench.com actually does today, not what a template says a website might do.
The short version
Every calculation on this site runs inside your browser. The numbers you type into a calculator are never sent anywhere, never logged and never stored — not by this site, and not by anyone else. There are no accounts, no contact forms, no analytics and no tracking cookies. The site sets no cookies of its own.
What remains is the unavoidable minimum: the hosting provider handles your connection in order to send you the page, and if you send an email, that email exists.
Who is responsible
decibench.com is operated by an individual established in Spain, acting as data controller. Contact: contact@decibench.com.
What is processed, and why
Calculator inputs: not processed at all
The tools are static pages with the mathematics in JavaScript that your browser downloads and runs locally. Cable lengths, power levels, splitter ratios, transceiver figures — none of it leaves your device. There is no server-side application here to receive it. You can verify this: open your browser's network inspector and use any calculator on the site. No request is made while you compute.
Connection data: handled by the hosting provider
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. To deliver a page and to protect the service from abuse, Cloudflare processes technical connection data including your IP address, the time of the request, the page requested, your user agent and approximate country.
- Purpose: delivering content, security, and preventing abuse.
- Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in operating the service securely and reliably.
- Retention: as set by Cloudflare's own logging periods; this site keeps no copy and the operator does not consult these logs for any individual.
- Processor: Cloudflare, Inc., under Cloudflare's data processing terms.
Cloudflare may also set a strictly necessary security cookie on some requests. It carries no profile and is not used for advertising or analytics.
Email, if you send one
If you write to the contact address, your email address and whatever you choose to put in the message are processed for the sole purpose of replying. Legal basis: legitimate interest in answering correspondence (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), or performance of a legal obligation where the message is a data protection request. Correspondence is kept only as long as it is useful for that purpose and is never used for marketing or passed to anyone.
Email reaches the operator through a forwarding address. The forwarding provider necessarily handles the message in transit.
Local storage
The calculators do not currently store anything in your browser. If a tool later remembers a preference such as a unit setting, that value stays on your device, is readable only by this site, and is not transmitted. It will be stated on the tool's page.
Advertising
No advertising is served on this site at present, and no advertising cookies are set. This section describes what will apply if that changes, so that you can see the arrangement in advance.
Should advertising be introduced, it would be through Google AdSense. Google and its partners may then use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads and, where you have agreed to it, to personalise them based on your prior visits to this and other sites.
- Visitors in the EEA, the United Kingdom and Switzerland would be asked for consent through a Google-certified consent management platform integrated with the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework, as Google requires of its publishers. Advertising and analytics cookies would be set only after consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), and you could change or withdraw that choice at any time from a link in the page footer.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising across all participating sites at Google Ads Settings, and from third-party vendors at optout.aboutads.info.
- How Google handles data from sites that use its services is described at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
This page would be updated, with a new date at the top, before any advertising went live. Calculator inputs would remain outside all of this: they stay in your browser regardless.
Analytics
None. No Google Analytics, no alternative analytics product, no pixels, no fingerprinting. Any future change would be stated here first.
Who your data is shared with
Nobody, in the sense that matters: nothing is sold, rented, or handed to data brokers, and there is nothing resembling a user profile to share. The only third parties involved are the infrastructure providers named above — hosting and email forwarding — each acting as a processor for the narrow purpose described.
International transfers
The hosting provider operates a global network, so content may be served from, and connection data handled in, countries outside the European Economic Area, including the United States. These transfers rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and the provider's supplementary measures.
Your rights
Under the GDPR and Spanish Organic Law 3/2018 you may request access to your personal data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, portability, and you may object to processing based on legitimate interest. Where processing rests on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of what came before.
Exercise any of these by writing to contact@decibench.com. Requests are answered within one month.
In practice there is usually very little to act on, because this site holds almost nothing about you. If you have never emailed, there is no record here that identifies you at all.
If you believe your data has been handled improperly you may complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency, www.aepd.es, or to the supervisory authority of the EU country where you live.
Children
These are professional engineering tools and are not directed at children. No age-related data is collected.
Changes to this policy
Material changes — above all, introducing advertising or analytics — will be reflected here with an updated date before they take effect, not afterwards.
